Oregon 4-H Foundation 2022-2023 Request for Proposals

Grant Criteria

The Oregon 4-H Foundation board will consider applications that meet all of the following criteria. We are looking for programs and projects that:

  • Focus on innovation, leadership, and community pride.

  • Directly impact 4-H programs & members in Oregon.

Grant awards do not typically exceed $5,000. Please refer to the grant recipient web page.  The board typically awards $10,000 in total funding per grant cycle. The number of grants awarded will depend on the number of eligible applications submitted.

Submittal Requirements

Please complete all questions listed on the Grant Application. The Grants Committee will only accept one grant per county/program per cycle. Applications are reviewed by members of the board’s Grants Committee. Academic citations and references are not necessary. Please use plain language. Avoid undefined abbreviations and acronyms.

Deadlines for submitting applications: the last Friday of the month in September and January, as well as the second Friday of May. Please e-mail applications to erin.walsh@osufoundation.org. Grant Recipient Requirements

At the end of the funding year a final report is required. The report will be shared with the Oregon 4-H Foundation board members. Please send the report via email within one year of funding award to erin.walsh@osufoundation.org. Recipients may also be invited to attend a grants committee meeting or board meeting to share the impact of their project.

Timeline Overview

  • Fall/Winter/Spring Deadlines

  • last Friday in September and January/second Friday in May, applications due

  • October/March/June, board meets to review applications and approve awards

  • By the end of November/April /July, grant award winners announced and fund transfers initiated

  • One year after, final report due to the Oregon 4-H Foundation
