History

Incorporated as a nonprofit organization in 1957, the Oregon 4-H Foundation is an associate of the Oregon State University Foundation, which manages funds donated to 4-H and provides other services.

Mission

Our mission is to advance Oregon 4-H through acquisition of resources and developing partnerships to expand outreach, and maximizing stewardship of resources, grants and awards.

Board of Trustees

The Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees, an Executive Committee, and six standing committees. Our Trustees serve three-year terms that are renewable up to three terms by mutual agreement between the individual Trustee and the Committee on Trustees and elected by the Board.

The members of the board seek to promote the value and importance of Oregon 4-H, inspire investment from our generous community of donors and steward resources to enhance the university’s impact. They recognize that 4-H in Oregon must be adequately financed to achieve its mission and that significant donor investment is critical to attain and maintain programs of excellence that have a meaningful impact on the youth of Oregon, today and tomorrow.
