Evelyn Jean (Jeanne) Carver is an Oregon rancher, entrepreneur, author and nationally recognized leader in sustainable agriculture and the American wool industry. As owner of Imperial Stock Ranch and then founder of Shaniko Wool Company, Jeanne has built innovative partnerships that reconnect American wool production with brands and domestic textile manufacturing, helping strengthen rural economies and U.S. supply chains.

A passionate advocate for regenerative agriculture, Jeanne has worked throughout her career to promote responsible land stewardship, traceable fiber systems, and environmental sustainability. Through her leadership, Shaniko Wool Company became the first U.S. farm group certified to the global Responsible Wool Standard and the exclusive U.S. wool provider for NATIVA™ Regen, the first third-party certified regenerative wool program in the United States. Jeanne has also served as the source and voice of American wool for Ralph Lauren’s Team USA Olympic uniforms for 5 Olympic games beginning in 2014.

Jeanne serves on numerous agricultural and industry boards and is a member of the Oregon State University College of Agricultural Sciences Hall of Fame. She is deeply committed to supporting the next generation of leaders and believes in the transformative power of agriculture, natural resources, and youth development programs such as 4-H.
