Happy Holidays: A Year in Review

Oregon 4-H Foundation: 2025 YEAR IN REVIEW

As 2025 comes to a close, we reflect on a year of growth, innovation, and community impact for the Oregon 4-H Foundation. This year marked an exciting new chapter with the arrival of our new Executive Director, Nicole Schrock, who brought fresh energy and vision to our mission of supporting Oregon 4-H youth.

Building a Stronger Future: County Endowments

One of our key initiatives this year was expanding general use endowments across Oregon counties. These endowments provide local 4-H faculty with flexible resources to meet the greatest needs - whether that’s program supplies, launching new initiatives, or scholarships for camps and events. Endowments truly are the gifts that keep on giving!

We’re thrilled to share that 11 counties now have general use endowments, with Wasco and Curry joining the list in 2025 alongside Tillamook, Multnomah, Polk, Benton, Linn, Deschutes, Umatilla, Klamath, and Josephine. If you’d like to learn more about how endowments transform local programs, please reach out - we’d love to connect.

Fundraising Milestones: Dam Proud Day & Clovers for a Cause

Our Annual Giving fundraising efforts soared this year thanks to the generosity of our donors and the creativity of our campaigns:

  • Dam Proud Day (Spring 2025)
Oregon 4-H finished 4th overall, raising $166,730 from 152 gifts to support both Summer Conference as well as every county in Oregon. This incredible success allowed us to establish a Summer Conference Endowment, ensuring this flagship event thrives for years to come.
We celebrated with several of these donors at a memorable Knights baseball game on the Party Deck during Summer Conference alongside 4-H conference attendees - thank you to everyone who joined us!

  • Clovers for a Cause (Fall 2025)
Inspired by Dam Proud Day, we launched our first Clovers for a Cause campaign during National 4-H Week in October. This 10-day online giving event supported national events and key programs.
The results were record-breaking: $89,227 raised from 136 donors and 165 gifts, making Oregon 4-H the top-performing college on OSU’s Beavs Give platform and setting a new record for most donations at any Beavs Give event EVER!

Mark your calendars for Dam Proud Day on April 28, 2026, and the next Clovers for a Cause the first week of October 2026. We can’t wait to build on this momentum!

Strategic Vision: A New Plan for Impact

With new leadership came a renewed focus. This year, the Oregon 4-H Foundation Board of Trustees launched a brand-new strategic plan, aligning efforts to strengthen fundraising initiatives statewide and deepen community engagement. We’re excited about the opportunities this brings for 4-H youth across Oregon.

If you’d like to meet your local Foundation board representative or learn more about how the Oregon 4-H Foundation Board can get involved in your event or community activity, please reach out - we’d love to connect you!  You can also subscribe to our brand new biannual newsletter that is sent out to 4-H supporters over the course of the year!

Looking Ahead!

As this year comes to a close, we look forward to another year of growth and opportunity.  We extend our heartfelt gratitude to every donor, volunteer, and supporter who made 2025 such a success. From all of us at the Oregon 4-H Foundation, we wish you and your family a joyful holiday season and a new year filled with possibilities.

Cheers,

NICOLE SCHROCK
