Derek Burbank grew up in Polk County, Oregon, where his involvement in 4-H sparked a lifelong passion for agriculture, leadership, and service. He attended Oregon State University before spending nine years teaching agricultural science and serving as an FFA advisor. Today, Derek lives in Central Oregon and works as a Financial Advisor. As a member of the Oregon 4-H Foundation Board, he is committed to strengthening 4-H and expanding opportunities for youth across the state. Derek looks forward to one day watching his son experience the same valuable life lessons and opportunities that 4-H provided him.
